A new article led by SEED Lab Director Dana McCoy and Northwestern Professor [Terri Sabol](https://sesp.northwestern.edu/people/faculty/terri-j-sabol.html) uses findings from more than 300 studies published over the past 50 years to highlight the importance of children's FOLD skills. FOLD skills -- the "Foundations of Learning Development" -- include competencies such as curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, and are believed to be critical but under-emphasized targets of early childhood interventions.
