Abby Hemenway currently works as a second grade teacher in Vermont. She is particularly interested in young children’s development of self-regulation, executive function, and social-emotional skills. She earned her BA in English and Feminist, Gender, &amp; Sexuality Studies from Cornell University in 2008 and her Ed.M. in Human Development and Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2017. Prior to attending HGSE, she received an MAT from Bennington College and taught first and second grade for three years. After working at the SEED Lab, Abbie also worked at the Child Study Center at Yale University as a Project Coordinator.

She joined the SEED Lab in the fall of 2016 as a research assistant and project coordinator working on the Regulation-Related Skills Measure (RRSM).
