New research shows disparities in the availability of children's learning opportunities worldwide
A new study led by Dr. McCoy and published in Children and Youth Services Review shows that nearly one-quarter of children living in low- and middle-income countries lack access to learning opportunities in and out of the home. Using data from more than 163,000 children, Dr. McCoy and her coauthors find that just one-third of children globally have access to center-based early childhood services, with great disparities by socioeconomic status, urbanicity, and age.
