Mikayla Do
Mikayla My Do is a Ph.D. student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, specializing in adolescent development. Her research focuses on the positive development of adolescents in diverse cultural contexts. Mikayla's work particularly emphasizes facilitating identity formation, purpose development, and well-being among adolescents as they transition from high school to college and the workforce. She utilizes quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to explore the associations of social support sources with various developmental processes. Mikayla works with Dr. Nancy E. Hill to establish cross-national measurement validity and correlates among developmental constructs including sense of purpose, self-efficacy, parenting practices, and youth academic and career goals. At the SEED Lab, she works with the CREDI and GSED teams to measure early childhood development.
She obtained her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Human Development from the University of California San Diego and a Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed) in Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Development from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
