Kristen Hinckley is currently a doctoral student at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute and affiliate of the SEED Lab. Kristen's researches examines the effects of violence and early childhood care and education on young children in low- and middle-income countries. She is particularly interested in early childhood development, scaling up effective interventions, teacher professional development, and M&E. Kristen graduated with an EdM in International Education Policy from HGSE. Prior to HGSE, she worked in the education sector in Peru as a kindergarten teacher and as an education policy researcher supporting the implementation of a national early childhood education study. She earned her BA in International Development and Spanish from Dartmouth College in 2017.

As an affiliate of the SEED Lab, Kristen works on a project examining the effects of a virtual tutor for parents, Afinidata, on family wellbeing and early childhood development in Peru.
