The Chicago School Readiness Project
The Chicago School Readiness Project (CSRP) was a federally-funded randomized control-trial intervention developed by Dr. Cybele Raver. The aim of CSRP was to improve low-income, preschool-aged children's chances of success in school. CSRP targeted young children's emotional and behavioral adjustment through a comprehensive, classroom-based intervention in Head Start. Through additional funding from the Institute of Education Sciences and the National Institutes of Health, we followed CSRP participants into high school to study the long-term effects of the program on children’s social-emotional and academic outcomes.
